Dr. Max Wolf,
Kdnigstuhl-Heidelberg,
Germany.

Dear Dr. Wolf:

In the absence of Professor Frost, who has

gone to California on a vacation, I am acknowledging
your letter of February 14.

Your post card was received by Professor

Frost and in answer to it he sent you a letter on
February 23, which you will have received by now.
I am glad to know that he was able to arrange for you
and others to receive the Astrophysical Journal until
happier times will make your subscription to it less
difficult. I am personally greatly pleased with the
arrangement which is a very just one. I had hoped
that the Astronomical Journal could make similar
arrangements.

I will look up your variable or nova in

N.G.C. 2608 when a favorable chance occurs. We
are having bad weather now. The winter has been
a bad one for us.

I wish to extend to you and Madam Wolf

expressions of kindness and esteem and with the
hope that better days are coming soon for you and
yours,

Very sincerely yours,

EEB
