UNHVERStTY OF CAUFORNtA
Professor Dr. Max Wolf,

Dear Professor Wolf:-
I am sorry to learn from your recent letter that you
have not been receiving the Lick Observatory Bulletins. They have been
sent from the first to "The Observatory, Heidelberg, Germany,", and I
presumed that they would be accessible to you. I was not aware that the
Astrophysical and Astrometrical Observatories are distinct institutions,
but I suspect now that they are; and out of appreciation of the excellent
work that you have been doing, I am sending all the back numbers to the
Astrophysical Observatory, and am placing your Observatory on the distri-
bution list for future copies.
You will be glad to learn from our Bulletin No.14 that Mr.
Perrine has found an excellent record of the Nova Nebula on the Crossley
Reflector plate of March 29th. A description of that plate is contained
in Bulletin No. 14.
Our oldest inhabitants still speak very frequently of the
pleasure that your visit here in 1893 afforded us. Mrs. Campbell joins
me in kind regards.
Very sincerely yours
