Your postal card about the correction to the ephem-
eris of Comet Wolf 1684 III, is just at hand. Dr. Aitken made a careful
search for the comet on the night of June 12, extending his search oyer a
radius of 15* of arc from the ephemeris position. This would include the
positions indicated by your photograph. The search was unsuccessful, out
he will make another search next month.
