W<LL!AMS BAY, WiSCONS!N
December 21,
1923.
Professor Pax Wolf,
Sternwarte lionigstuhl,
Heidelberg, Germany.
Dear Professor Holf:
By the time this reaches you, Christmas
and the hew Year will have passed, and I trust
that this letter will find you and your family
in good health, even amid the privations which
the present condition of Germany makes inevita-
ble for citizens of our class-
I enclose a very small draft on New
York, as a personal expression of my regard,
and hope that you will use it in any way that
will remind you of better times.
Inasmuch as the krone has been stabil-
ized in Austria, due to the concerted action
of several other nations in a joint loan, I
hope that such action will very soon be made
in behalf of Germany, and that your republic
will soon be established on a firm basis-
