der Sternwarte zu Karlsruhe. These were needed here and we
were very glad to have them. We believe that you were kind

I hope that you and your family are well and that Spring
is coming in the Neckar valley. I was sick last fall and in
the hospital for six weeks, but have made a good recovery.
Lately I have suffered from influenza, which has delayed my
full recovery. I am to retire this summer from active service
as director.My successor has not yet been appointed,
expect to live at Williams Bay, near the Observatory,
trust that we shall have the pleasure of seeing you in
country this year or next, or better both.
