Professor Max Wolf,
Kdnigstuhl Sternwarte,
Heidelberg, Germany.
My dear Colleague:
The Director of the University of
Chicago Press, to whom I wrote about your
failure to receive the Astrophysical Journal,
suggests that you place your order with the
regular Leipzig agent of the University of
Chicago Press, Karl W. Hiersemann, K&nigstrasse 29.
He states that there is no reason to fear sending
money, but it will be more convenient for you to
have your order placed directly with the Leipzig
agent.
I judge from his letter that the
shipment of the journals was delayed until
information could reach the University of Chicago
Press from its agents in foreign countries. All
the journals which had been delayed were sent
out about a month ago.
Such inconveniences as this are among
the least of the abominations connected with war,
but we hope to survive them all.
With kindest regards,
Very truly yours,
EBF
