My fear Wolf:

Can you inform me Whether old Struve is still
alive, and at his old address in Karlsruhe ? We wish to write
hin about certain matters, but do not care to bother him if he is
ill. Neither do we wish to bother his heirs, if he has passed
away. There is some doubt here as to whether he is still living.
You will of course understand that I am asking this question
confidentially, as we should not like to have Struve know that
a rumor of his death had got about.
Are you ever to visit America again ? I have not forgotten
your last visit, and hope there is to be another soon.
