Some five or six years ago you very kindly gent me three beautiful prints-
from some of your negatives for insertion in KNOWLEDGE. Two of t ese were
of t ie great America Nebula, and of t'.'.e inner nebulosities of the Pleiades.
I am bringing out a little book on the "'Astronomy of t'.e Bible and I s' -uld
greatly like to reproduce t' es two photographs as iilu'-trati-rr; in t at b-'-'*,
if you will be so very good as to give me your kind permission for t em
to appear. I used the two photographs in KNOWLEDGE in the years 1903 am'
1004, as you will doubtless remember. I had carefully preserved the
prints you so kindly seat me, so that I do not need z fresh eop^s but
only your permission to use them again.
