A thin, flat, cutaneous muscle : it arises from the palmar apo-
neurosis, and stretches across the hand, to he inserted into
the metacarpal bone of the little finger, and the superincum-
bent fat. It stretches the aponeurosis of the palm of the
hand,
Abductor minimi digiti maxi s.—Carpn-phulangeus
minimi digM.—A thin, fleshy muscle, upon which the hand
rests in writing : it arises from the os pisifomie, and the outer
end of the annular ligament, and is inserted laterally into tht

Adductor minimi vnoin.—Curpo-metacarpeus minimi

Flexor parvus minimi digiti.—A small thin muscle, •

the same insertion. It bends the little finger.
Interossei externi et interni.—Metacarpe-phalangeU
