PRIZES have been awarded at the one hun-
dred and sixth exhibition of the Penn-
sylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadel-
phia, as follows: The Temple Gold Medal to Richard
E. Miller, St.Louis, for The Chinese Statuette; the
Beck Gold Medal to Edmund C. Tarbell, Boston, for
his portrait of Timothy Dwight, D.D.,LL.D.; the
Jennie Sesan Gold Medal to Joseph T. Pearson,
