WE BEGAN making furniture in the old-fashioned days
when people who bought it personally knew the men
who made it. We may still be old fashioned, but this spirit
of trustworthiness which grew out of close acquaintance con-

YOU will enjoy reading “ Character in Furniture,”
our de luxe book which tells interestingly the
history and meaning of period styles. It is beautifully
illustrated by Rene Vincent, who has caught the true
spirit of our furniture in real life. For 15 two-cent
U. S. stamps we will send it by return mail, and, if
you ask, we will also send our colored card bearing
Eugene Field’s famous poem, “ In Amsterdam,” which
mentions us and will delight
you. It would be better to
write us today for these; the
editions are limited.
