An extremely fine initial in red and blue filled with ornament in red,
blue, green and yellow. The stem and loop of the D are thus
treated : the stem is red with a blue pattern outlined in white, in the
loop the colours are counterchanged, with very beautiful effect.
The first portion of the work, down to a.d. 450, is not printed in
the modern editions.

Fuit in diebus Herodis (very fine) 39, where the Concordia Evan-
