Initial in gold, set on square purplish ground with white dots.
In the letter on bright red ground is a winged ox with
delicately marbled book under his feet.
Gloss begins. Beda. Lucas de omnibus que fecit Ihesus
Text. Fuit in diebus ........ 7
Fine initial. In the head of it is a half-length figure holding
a book ; it has four heads, that of the ox in front, lion on L.,
man on R., eagle above, all nimbed: four wings, red and
white, mainly, are seen.
The stalk of the letter has delicate white patterns on colour.
Head-lines throughout are : Secundum in blue on the L. page,
Lucam in red on R.
A gap after p. n (of one leaf) in Lc. ii. 24-32, supplied by
two blank leaves of poor vellum.
Some pages at the end of Luke are in a particularly large and
fine hand.
Gloss ends 146 a : et amore firmaret.

Begins imperfectly in the prologue : dolore mortis.
Gloss begins : Omnibus diuine scripture paginis.
Text begins p. 150. A very fine initial the length of the page
with a half-medallion in the stalk in which, on a blue ground
with white dots, is a grey eagle nimbed with a remarkably
marbled book (?) in his claws.
The frame of the letter is of gold: it is entwined with con-
ventional foliage and is set on a pink ground dotted with
white and edged with green.
The quires of this portion are separately numbered i-xii.
It is in two hands, one of which appears in Luke also.
Ends imperfectly in xxi: 16 Etiam, domine (tu seis).
The flyleaves are blank.

the latter 89 lines at most. Cent, xiii late: well written : very
probably in South France.
