The writer of the last flyleaf was interested in Grosseteste. This
may be significant, but the presence of Constitutions of Bishops of
Worcester is probably more important.
On i a (formerly stuck to ii) are many notes.
(a) 7 peticiones and 7 dona: 7 uirtutes and 7 beatitudines.
(b) Clol (?) sans ley. Lumbard sans fey. Chiualer sans.. ,tresce(?)
(o)nt mis le rey en grant desier et la terre en grant
danger (?).
(c) In anglia sunt quadrag. quinque milia et vndecim ecclesie
matrices (vills, knights’ fees etc.).
O Omnia vincit amor etc. (distich).
(e) Commandments, plagues of Egypt, moral equivalent of
each (same hand as a).
(_/) written the other way of the page. Anglo-Saxon letters
with some equivalents in more modern hand : ending
