The next section : Apres les cine pater noster ke uus dites en
honor de cine plaies...dites ceo. Jesucristke soffristes ke lem
vus lia etc.
On 189 begins an exposition of the Pater Noster addressed like
the rest to ‘bau frere.’
A section: de peynys de enfern .....
A fere penance ......

A confession de ben fere ....
The last page, 206 b, is in verse:
Ci faz un poi de mencion
De Ihesu e de sa passion
E de la sue douce mere
Ki est ioie singulere.
Ending imperfect
Escharni fu en meinte guise
Pur nus ki tute ren iustise
E il ki unques peche ne fist
Qnques de ren ne mesprist
Sur ses espaules (catchword).
So little of this is left that speculation as to provenance is
hazardous. But some of the ‘ Bundles ’ are from Peter-
borough, and this may be a fragment of no. 345 (B. xvi) in
the Catalogue of that house, in which
Speculum Edmundi Gallice was followed by
Pater noster Gallice.
