Bale (Cent, viii, 54) says this translation was dedicated to Cyril

dedication was on the leaf preceding 47.
In Bale’s list of his MSS. [Scrip tores, Basel 155) after Cent, xiii
(pp. 159 sqq.) in the section of foreign writers (no. 85) is
Phil. Ribotus de gestis Carmelitarum in 10 libris ex Io.
Hierosoly: etc., which is pretty certain to be vol. I.: and
Bale may also have owned—and had certainly seen—vol. II.,
of which no other copy is known.
