There is a notable difference between the heraldry and the
initials and borders: the latter are and continue to be very
careful work, the other is sometimes quite rough.

with banner cheeky arg and gu (Vaux). The initial has a
punctured gold ground. L. Samuel in pointed cap anoint-
ing, from above C. David a boy holding a club. R. Jesse
holding book and gold crown. The draperies excellent,
shaded blue, pink, scarlet, green. Roofs are seen above.
External field mainly red of different shades, with trellis.

Grotesques below. In long grass a rabbit and a fallow
fawn look on a little curly-tailed dog with red collar.

punctured gold, patterned blue, trellised red, and trellised dull
gold etc.: a singing bird at top. Below the text, in grass, a
wolf tracking a deer, a magpie on R.
