c. 224 begins : The vij yere ofkyng Edward in be wynter tyme
he went into Scotland. It is not among the continuations
printed by Brie (E.E.T.S.): but he prints from this MS and
others cap. 229 Character of Edward III : p. 333.
The text of Brie, pp. 333-391 (Appendix B and Continuation
C) corresponds fairly but not wholly with this MS.
Brie, pp. 394 sqq. (Cont. D) corresponds exactly with this MS
which ends imperfectly 117^: be bastard of Clarence and
Sir John Kyghte (Brie, p. 437, 1. n).

that it is a fragment from Peterborough.
