The author (fl. 1290) is variously called Anglus and Hibernicus
and Franciscan and Dominican. Part of his work was printed
at Venice in 1603. Another copy is in 41.

Vellum, 9I x 6, ff. 1+270+1, mainly in triple columns of 27
lines. Cent, xiii late, in a fine regular French hand. Good decoration.
Calf binding, not priced.

The covers are lined with two pieces of a large printed Psalter.
One flyleaf at the beginning is from a xvth-cent. missal—that at
the end is in Carolingian minuscule of cent, x, rather sloping, and
is from a collection of conciliar Canons :
Vt pro his quae adempti sunt gratia diuina non pretia con-
cupiscant terrena sed solam regni caelestis gloriam promerentur
accipere
De illis uicis propter baptisterum recuperandum etc.
De non suscipiendis alterius aecclesiae clericis etc.
Qui uero episcoporum aut laicorum pro hoc etc.
The book is from S. Denis. At the bottom of f. 1 is the press-
mark

and on 26g a, erased, is: Iste liber est ecclesie beati dyonisii in
francia. The same seems to have been at top of f. 1. Below this,
also erased, is the scribe’s name
