di San Francesco.
Benozzo’s principal works, being in fresco, remain
attached to the walls on which they were painted.
Those only of the Campo Santo are engraved. A
picture in distemper of St. Thomas Aquinas is in
the Louvre (No. 1033), and is the same mentioned
by Vasari as having been painted for the Cathedral
of Pisa.
