• The Sciences are well cared for in Munich at the University, the Academy of Science
(founded 170 years ago) and numerous other excellent institutions which enjoy the most
up-to-date equipment and the Services of specially qualified instructors.
• The University is one of the largest and best known in Germany, and has been the
Alma Mater of several famous scholars and scientists. Munich is particularly well known
for its achievement in the department of chemistry. The University which possesses a
chemical laborotory of great reputation, being attended by a number of students from
various foreign countries. The city's activities in the sphere of chemistry and scientific
research has been facilitated by generous aid from the Rockfellor Foundation.
