of the refurbishment of the building. The current exhibition of plaster cast is only
a temporary display that is open to the wide public. It will last until the fall of 2010.
Nonetheless, after the closing of the exhibition project all the items will remain
in place and the exhibition rooms will serve as a study collection. It will be operated
by maintenance staff during the museums opening hours so that it will be accessible
for everybody on demand and without prior notice. We seek to present an almost
unknown yet remarkable museum collection (more than 700 items). It is our inten-
tion to create here a workshop for studies in the history of architecture and archi-
tectural sculpture in Poland, the history of collecting plaster objects, the history
of restoration of architectural monuments and the history of exhibition conceptions.
