from a comparison of legends, and, on the other hand, they appear to precede the pieces of
the Vologeses III.—VI., because the head on them is diademed; while the head of the later
princes always wears a helmet. They therefore fall into the reigns os Artabanus IV., Mithra-
dates IV., and
their contemporaries.

390 Daesius (P.O.), 390 Embolimus (the intercalary month, the Marquis de Lagoy, Bev. Num.
1855) ; then a break, after which a constant succession from 431 (B.M.) to 449 Dius (B.M.),
and 450 Apellaous (P.O.). The other dates of the copper are 423, 424, 430, 438, 439 (B.M.), 434,
