hundred and twenty three Steps.
This Column The fecond was also built by the Senate to the
consfts os 2.3 j jonour of Marcus Aurelius Antonins. The Statue of
7o''1"r- 1 Emperor was plac’d on the top of it, where
that of St. Paul Bands at present; which is of
Brass, and gilt like St. Peter's. The Stairs consist
of two hundred and six Steps, and the Trunk
of the Pillar is One hundred and sixty Roman
Foot
