He is represented without a Beard, and with the
Face of a young Man, tho’ he was Fifty Years/,e,//£4-
old when he was advanc’d to the Papal Chair. ™>nyand
many Persons
were flissed in the Crowd. Morigi. t This Statue -was made by one Jaco-
binus, who, in the Infcription under it ,is [aid to exceed Praxiteles.

Behind the Quire, the Catalogue of the Relicks
in this Church is engrav’d on two Tables of
Marble, among which I observ’d a piece os

is the most reslected Relick in Milan. ’Tis fa- M

a long Dissertation, and many trissing Conjectures concerning this Wand, con-
cludes, that Moses carried <t to the Mountain where he dy'd, and that it was
