graph of this picture, showing the way it appeared to the
human eye at the time that it was given to us. However, it
was not difficult for anyone with a trained eye to see that the
picture was repainted.
Illustration 2 represents the picture photographed by ultra
violet light. Certain black spots represent repainted places on
the surface of the picture.
