from the 1840s, no longer features the cupola with an eagle taking flight,
which most probably used to crown the building from the period of King
Jan Casimirus. The cupola is still present, together with the eagle, in the
painting by Marcin Zaleski entitled Widok na Patac Kazimierzowski od
strony Powisla [View of the Kazimierzowski Palace from the Powisle Side]
from ca. 1836 (fig. 136).
