A The back or upper part os the pelvis.
B The knee.
CD The trunk os the fciatic nerve laid over a couple os pins.
E The re-union os the divided parts os the fciatic nerve, which is os a
darker colour than the original nerve. In Fig. I. It is nearly os the same
size with the trunk os the nerve.
In Fig. II. It is somewhat larger.
The part of the nerve below the re-union preserved nearly, if not entirely,
its natural size.
