Double burial. A had legs in position, plundered out above pelvis. B had pelvis resting on right
knee of A, left arm and right ulna and radius, legs in position. Upper matting partly preserved
over B: a double one of Type I, lengthwise. Common double under matting under A and B of
Type I, lengthwise. These under mattings were laid directly on a twig framework as follows:
series of twigs of ca. 1 cm. diameter running crosswise and supported by four larger twigs (ca.
2 to 2.5 cm. thick) running lengthwise. These larger twigs are numbered 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the
diagram, Figure 64 a. No. 4 had disappeared but the groove in which it had lain was very appar-
ent. Figure 64 c. The small cross twigs must have been bound to the four larger ones but no
trace of such binding remained. The twig framework must originally have measured about
125 cm. long by 75 cm. wide. There was no trace of any twig framework over the burials, as is
the regular case.
