PANORAMA
Il panorama di Napoli manifesta in tutto il suo splendore la gran-
dezza e la bellezza del golfo, insieme alla maestosità del Vesuvio.
Dalla balconata di un angolo orientale della Certosa di S. Martino
si gode la veduta più estesa e più completa del panorama ; si vede
la città a volo d’uccello e si sentono così chiare le voci dei venditori
ambulanti ed i rumori della popolazione che sembra trovarsi in
mezzo a loro

Le panorama de Naples présente dans toute sa splendeur la gian-
dcur et la beauté du golfe, ainsi que la majesté du Vésuve.
Du balcon à balustres qui se trouve à l’angle Est de la Char-
treuse de St. Martin, on jouit d’un panorama plus complet et plus
étendu; comme à vol d’oiseau, on découvre la ville entière et l’on
entend aussi distinctement les cris des vendeurs ambulants et le
bruit de la foule que si l’on se trouvait en plein centre de la Ville.

ness and beauty of the Gulf, together with the majesty of Vesuvius.
From the railed balcony at the east corner of the Certosa of S.
Martino a most extended and complete view can be enjoyed. A
brid’s eye view of the city is obtained, and the voices of the pedlars
and the noise of the people arc so dear that one seems to be
among them.

Vom Altan des östlichen Flügels der Karthäuse von S. Martino
aus geniesst man einen noch weiteren, umfassenderen Blick über
den Golf und die Stadt aus der Vogelperspektive; die Stimmen der
Strassenhändler und der Lärm des Grosstadtvcrkenhrs dringen
hinauf in die einsame Höhe und rücken die Stadt nahe.
