INTERNO DELLA GALLERIA UMBERTO I
Nel centro della città è piazzata questa monumentale Galleria,
forse la più bella che esiste. Misura in totalità m. 268 ed ha una
larghezza di m. 15; la cupola centrale si eleva a' m. 56.
Ila quattro ingressi che corrispondono alle vie Toledo, S. Brigida,
Municipio e piazza S. Ferdinando.
Nell’interno vi sono grandi magazzini di ogni genere, caffè, bar,
restaurants, ed un ritrovo di varietà (Salone Margherita) situato
sotto il livello della strada.

Cette immense galerie, peut-être la plus belle qui existe, est
placée au centre de la ville. Elle mesure 268 mètres de long sur
15 mètres de large; la coupole du milieu, s’élève à 56 mètres de
hauteur.
Elle a quatre entrées qui correspondent aux rues Toledo, Sainte
Brigitte, de l’Hôtel de ville et à la place Saint Ferdinand.
A l’intérieur il y a de grands magasins de tous genres; cafés,
bars, restaurants, et un cercle public (Salon Marguerite) situé en
contre-bas de la route.

This monumental Gallery which is situated in the center of the
city, is perhaps the finest in existence. It is 268 metres long, 15
metres wide and the height of the central dome is 56 metres.
The four entrances lead to Via Toledo, Via S. Brigida, Via
Municipio and Piazza S. Ferdinando.
Shops of every kind, cafes, bars, restaurânts and the Margherita
Music Hall which is below level of the street, are to be found
in this gallery.
