INTERNO DEL R. TEATRO S. CARLO
Nell’anno 1846 l’interno del R. Teatro San Carlo costruito
dall’architetto Carasale, venne distrutto da un incendio.
Fu ricostruito con lo splendore e l’eleganza che oggi si am-
mirano dall’architetto Nicolini.
È un teatro di fama mondiale, dove hanno avuto il battesimo
le principali opere liriche.
Le sue serate, particolarmente quelle di gran gala, lasciano
una impressione incancellabile prodotta dalla immensa vastità
dell’ambiente e dell’armonia dell’insieme.

En 1846 l’intérieur du théàtre royal S. Charles, bàti par Parchi
tecte Carasale, fut détruit par un incendie.
Il fut reconstruit dans toute sa splendeur et son élégance
actuelles par l’architecte Nicolini.
C’est un théàtre dont la renommée est mondiale et où ont
été représentées pour la première fois les principales oeuvres ly-
riques.
Les soitrées, qu’on y donne, en particulier, celles de grand
gala, laissent une impression ineffa^able, produite par la vaste
étendue du théàtre et par l’harmonie de l’ensemble.

In 1846 thè interior of thè Royal S. Carlo Theatre, constructed
by thè architect Carasale, was destroyed by fire.
It was rebuilt with splendour and elegance by thè architect
Nicolini whose work is so admired.
It is a world famed theatre where thè principal opera singers
have made their débuts.
Evening performances, especially those of particular impor-
tance leave an impression not easily forgoten, produced by thè
vastity of thè surroundings and thè harmony of everything.

Baumeister Nicolini hat es zu seiner heutigen Pracht und
Vornehmheit umgestaltet.
Teatro San Carlo hat Weltruf; die meisten italienischen Opern
erleben hier ihre Première.

gen vermitteln unvergessliche Eindriicke an einen weiten strah-
