Spiaggia preferita dai pescatori per ritirare le reti e specchio d’acqua solcato
continuamente da ogni sorta di imbarcazioni per gite di piacere. Ivi ha luogo la
tradizionale mandolinata a mare per l’annuale festa di Piedigrotta.

C’est l’endroit plus pittoresque du golf de Naples, chanté par le poète
Lamartine. Plage preferée par les pécheurs pour retirer leurs rets ; miroir
d’eau toujours couvert de toute sorte d’imbarcations. En occasion de la fête
annuelle de Piedigrotta, dans cet endroit, a lieu la traditionale « mandolinata ».

This is one of the picturesque points of the gulf of Naples, which the
French poet Lamartine has se nicely chanted in its rhyjnes. Mercellina is the
collecting point of all the fishermen with their peculiar boats and nets and is a
starting point of small rowing and pleasure boats. Every year in the month of
September in occasion of the Piedigrotta festival there is a traditional « mando-
linata» at sea.
