The Football Club.

School House v. Army House.

Straghan kicked off for the School House but the
ball was quickly returned and after a few loose scrimmages
Hathorn dribbled the ball over the line and scored the
first try for the Army House. After this, fairly even play
was witnessed mostly in the School twenty-five, only
once did the latter look like scoring when Hill I, taking
a pass from Straghan, broke away but was overtaken
by Stoker. Just before half time Stoker ran in and
converted the try. Half time was now called leaving
the School House 8 points behind.

Shortly after the kick off Jewell getting the ball
just outside the scrum crossed the School line near
touch. Hankey failed to improve. Alnost immediately
afterwards Stocker ran in twice in quick succession
both of which tries he easily improved upon. After the
kick off from half wa}' the School House played up

from Hathorn was pushed into touch in the Army House
twenty-five. The School forwards headed by Straghan,
Bradley and Pepys forced their way to the goal line
and almost scored but Leland relieved the Army House
by a punt into touch. The Army House then rushed down
the field and Clayton scored a try ander the posts which
Stoker again converted soon afterwards „No-side" was
called leaving the Army House victors be 26 points to
o. The teams were
