Friday, Mr. C. R. S. Bradley, Mr. F. W. Turner, and Mr.
W. T. Lorimer, from being present. From other letters
received it appeared that Mr. T. E. Dent was in Calcutta, that
Mr. C. E. Wynn-Johnson was in Alaska, that Mr. J. R.
Colville was in South Africa, that Mr. Walter Mackinnon,was
in India, that Dr. Mowbray Taylor was in South Africa as a
Surgeon-Major, that the two Owens were in the South African
Constabulary one being stationed at Heidelberg the other at
Stackfontein,' that the two elder Pepys' were with their regi-
ments in South Africa, and that Mr. A. W. Norris, the
electrical engineer, was in West Africa. A long communica-
tion with New Year greetings was read from Mr. H. R. A.
Nimmo, now in Ceylon. Good wishes were also announced
from Mr. A. Murray Hudson, now in Buenos Ayres. A note
from Mr. J. Ward Brennan, in which he said " I like Neuen-
heim so much that I have christened my house Neuenheim,"
was received with loud cheers. Mr. Northcott added that
another Neuenheimer had honoured the College in this
fashion, Mr. G. de L. Ireland. Mr. Fred W. Searle wrote
that he had returned to Cape Town and was waiting to get
back to the Rand.

Mr. John Hassall, in eloquent terms, proposed " The
Imperial Forces," and mentioned the whereabouts and doings
of several Old Neuenheimers. The Rev. J. G. W. Tuckey,
M.A., a former master, was now a third class chaplain in
South Africa. Capt. S. Fitzgerald Cox was D.A.A.O. in the
Field Intelligence Department in South Africa ; Capt. F. S.
Reeves was Assistant Provost Major out there; and Capt.
C. A. Armstrong was Adjutant of the 5th Bat. Imperial
Yeomanry. His brother, Capt. Owen Hassall, was also at the
front (cheers). Capt, EL E. Garstin was another Neuen-
heimer -in the Intelligence Department, and he expected there
were a number more who were with him, for all Neuenheimers
were gifted with intelligence, and no one could deny that they
were energetic and courageous. In the newspapers ho had
read the announcement of the marriage in October in Bombay
Cathedral of Capt. J. S. Corlett, of the 15th Bengal Lancers, to
