DER NEUENHEIMER.
13
Our First XV. liave, up to the present, played seven matches, out of
which they have won three and drawn one. When it is taken into
consideration that all the teams we have to play against are men's teams
representative of various German towns, this is a very favourable record
indeed. Currie is to be congratulated upon the successful and unselfish
manner in which he has carried out the arduous duties of " Footer
Captain " this season.

We have had a terrible epidemic of that distressing malady
" Neuenheim Fever " this term. Several of our sturdiest and strongest
have been laid low.
Many cures have been tried with varying success. Of these, the
" Shock " cure has been the most successful. To perform this cure with
any measure of success one must rush into the sick-room in a state of
great excitement and announce that there is a " Frei " or a " Half-Frei "
according to the gravity of the case. This method has now, alas! become
worn-out, and the authorities are at a loss how to combat the evil.
[Owing to the extreme gravity of the situation I have decided to offer a
substantial reward for the best remedy for this distressing malady.
Competition closes Feb. 1st, 1905.—Ed.J

During the last week in November we had some excellent toboggan-
ing.
The " Köniegstuhl" run was in fine condition and for the better
part of a week was our favourite afternoon resort.
-o-
Our Dancing Classes this term have been an out-and-out success.
Mrs. Hill, as always, has been indefatigable in her efforts and our best
thanks are due to her for the eminent success with which they have been
crowned. Despite the fact that ladies are rather at a premium, these
Saturday evening gatherings have been thoroughly appreciated by all,
especially by the members of the Senior House.
