I found an iron dagger, and a terra-cotta vase in the
form of a female head, 3f" high (see the cuts). This

vase is an interesting specimen of archaic model-
ling ; and, having a modius on the head, perhaps
represents Persephone.
It is probably of the same period as the alabaster
vase bearing the name of Xerxes; that is to say,
