coinage of Kos and Rhodes as well as an examination of the coinage of the Ptole-
mies written together with O. Mdrkholm. She co-authored four volumes of Syllo-
ge Nummorum Graecorum, which presented Copenhagen museum collections.
She took part in investigating and publishing coins discovered by Danish arche-
ological teams in Carthage. Nor was A. Kromann a stranger to Oriental coinage.
She wrote essays on coins of the Cushans and on Arab coinage - mostly Arab
dirham uncovered in Denmark.

A list of A. Kromann’s scholarly pursuits is longer than can be mentioned
here. She was an active and energetic person; these qualities she shared with
those she encountered. There were some Poles in their number, which makes
the loss we suffered with the death of Anne Kromann the more grievous.
