Meanwhile, the main goal of the first
campaign has been achieved through a study
of grave typology, burial traditions and the
highly distinctive red wheel-made pottery,
namely cups and bowls [Fig. 8 a,If}6 A con-
sideration of these factors has given a date
for the three examined tumuli between the
end of the 5 th century and the first half of
the 6th century AD. The entire cemetery is
most likely from this period as well.
