Nei grandi calori, estivi un meccanismo spéciale alimeatato da una pompa,
rinfrescava l’ambiente con una pioggia artificiale.

Il est construit en forme d’henrcycle et pouvait contenir 5000 spec-
tateurs. It corns enait trois rangées de gradins: pour les personnages im-
; priants, pour .a bourgeoisie et pour la plèbe. A l’ent ée et sur la scène
se t ouvaient des statues en bronze et en marb c. Pe d int les grandes
chaleurs de l’été, une pompe abmenta't un d’sposLif spécial qui produi-
sait une pluie artificielle et rafraîchissait le theatre.
THE TRAGIC THEATRE
This theatre is of semi-ci'cular shape and seated 5.000 spectators. I:

At the entrance and on the stage were b onze and marble statues.
During the great summer heats a spec al mechanism, fed by a pump,
cooled the interior of the theat e by artificial rain.

Pe sonen. E» war in drei Abteilungen gete’lt: für d’e grossen Pe-sönlich-
keiten, die Bürgerschaft und das gewöhnliche Volk.
Am Eingänge und auf der Bühne waren Statuen aus Brorze und aus
Marmor, Während de g ossen Hitze im Sommer wurde der Raum mittels
eines besonderen Mechanismuses, der von einer Pumpe gespeist, wurde, durch
einen feinen, künstlichen Regen erfrischt.
