Wherever honeyfuckles, vines, jafmines,
grow over tliem, they attracl and pleafe
every eye ; and the fame fcrt of beautiful
effect (not indeed more beautiful) would
be produced by the Iefs common exotic
climbers.

It feldom happens that the tafte of tlie
mere colledlor of curious plants, and that
of the pidfurefque improver, can be made
to accord fo well as in this inftance. Vil-
lage-houfes generally afford many warm
afpedls and fheltered fituations, where the
lefs hardy climbers will flourifh, and of
courfe a ftill greater number of more ex-
pofed walls and projecftons, againft which
thofe that are perfectly hardy may be
