263 Interesting Correspondence.—Count D'Ohsay was the
staunch friend in England and France of Lours napoleon",

but, disapproving of the Coup d'Etat, received but a slight re-
cognition from the Emperor for his former services, advice
and assistance. Mr. Gomersal was the popular representative
of Napoleon the First in the hippodrama of the Battle of
Waterloo, played for some two or three hundred nights at
Astley's Theatre.

Doctor Jenner — Duke of Wellington. A statue of 269
Dr. Jenner was subsequently placed in Trafalgar Square,
and afterwards removed to the Kensington Gardens.

A Clerical Trio.—This was the beginning of this silly 271
fashion.
