rjAHE HORRIBLE SUCCESS OF

QOCK ROBIN,

HR. H. FIELD-MARSHAL THE
. DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE per-
sonally complimented Mr. Nouthen
Wolkijp on having contrived,_ on the prin-
cipal Staircase, a most realistic, vivid, and
truthful Picture of Modern Warfare, re-
minding him forcibly of the battle of
Inkermann; and stated that, although, from
report, he had heard how wonderfully
realistic was the representation, he had no
idea, until quite unexpectedly involved in
an awkward struggle for his opera-hat
and life, that it was so eminentiy disagree-
able.

/AOCK ROBIN. — A Colonial Arch-
VV hishop; who has threatened proceed-
ings “ if his name is again put on to
Six-Foot Posters,” writes : “ Chaste !

heautiful! thrilling ! It is almost as good
as one of my own after-dinner Sermons;
and I only wish the whole of the rising
generation could get in gratis to the Upper
Boxes. Believe me, I should be glad, if
there were nothing whatever to pay, to
make one of them.”
