pointed. The round is bejl to fcratch
with all: the square graver is to make the
largeji jlrokes : the Lozeng is to make
jlrokes more fine and delicate : But a gra-
ver os a middle fize betwixt the square'
and Lozeng pointed^ will make the jlrokes
or hatches floow with more life and

Gravers upon, which muft be very
fmooth, not too soft, nor too hard, and
without pinholes. <
The ufe is thus: put a few drops os oj\
Olive upon the jlonc^ and laying that side
of it0 (which you intendffiall cut the Cop-
per J ssat upon the jloneP whet it very flat
