VI. The chies Blews are, blew Bice,
Indico, Ultramarine, Smalt.
VII. The chief Browns are, Spanifti
brown. Burnt Spruce, limber.
VIII. Thefe colours , Lamp black,
Verditer, Vermilion, Bice, Smalt, Ma-
fticot, Orpiment, Ultramarine, are not
to be ground at all, but only tempered
with oyl upon the Pallet.
IX. Thefe colours, Ivory, Ceruse,
Oker, and Umber are to be burnt, and
then ground with oyl.
X. All the reft are to be ground upon
the Grinding ftone with Linfeed oyl
fexcept white lead,when it is to be ufed
ibi Linn en, which then is to be ground
with oyl os Walnuts, for Linseed oyl
Will make it turn yellow.)
