force for the execution of a document or the like, the
transaction is void”.1
Many of the principles stated above are regarded
as principles of equity under the English law. How-
ever, such principles Have but a very remote connec-
tion with the subject of interpretation. So I should
not multiply them here. I have referred to the above
principles just to show you that the Hindu law is not
wanting in enunciation of the fundamental principles
of law.
