Abschrift des Catalogs der Handzeichnungen, welche sich in der Derschau'schen Sammlung zu Nürnberg befanden

Bamberg, 1821

At the beginning of the transcription, the provenance of the drawings listed below is explained. These were still in the possession of Hans Albrecht von Derschau (1755-1824) in 1821. The drawings are all described as works by Dürer and are said to come from a sketchbook that was acquired by the Nuremberg patrician family Pfinzing von und zu Henfenfeld und Gründlach shortly after Dürer's death. The drawings are then divided into two sections (cf. fol. 2r-2v): Judging by the description of the contours and the names of the figures, the first section contains some of the charcoal drawings now attributed to Hans Schwarz. The second section comprises small drawings that the artist is said to have carried with him. In addition, the so-called Dürer Memorial Book is mentioned (fol. 3v), which is now in Berlin (see https://digi.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/diglit/smpk-kk_cim32_fol19).
