a bunch of carrots, and onions, and an oil jar are in front; and
above hangs a basket of eggs: the other parts of the shop are
filled with various articles belonging to the business. Noticed
by Descamps, in La Vie des Peintres.

This picture is of the finest quality, and may be rated about the

seventh best of this master’s productions. It is
dated 1647.
