RUINS OF ELIS.
My readers will be able to form a much more correct idea of llie slate
of the ruins of Elis from an inspection of the plans, than they can from
any description. Though, upon the whole, considerable remains may be
traced, they are in general in loo ruinous a state to be objects of much
interest. I shall therefore content myself with following the course that I
have done with respect to those at Olympia, and lay before my readers
Mr. Allason's observations upon them.
