The following reproductions are
from a series of photographs by
the clever Italian amateur photo-
grapher, Signor Guido Rey, whose
artistic work deserves far wider
appreciation than it at present
enjoys. All the plates were taken
in strong sunlight, instantaneous
photography being successfully
employed with a view to obtain-
ing a natural pose in the models,
while the shadows were softened
by means of a white screen.
